Dreams and Visions

I had a vivid night that poured over into the morning.

After my prayer time I noticed that the moon was yellow. It was so big, bright and beautiful. The reflection of it in my window made another moon appear next to it. It made me wonder when a planet could be seen close on Earth again. So I researched it.

After that I reminisced of times when I wanted to travel the world. I planned on traveling to London to attend a music institute. I also thought about when I was supposed to travel with a student ambassador program in my teen years. Traveling was always a goal of mine.

After those recollections I fell asleep. People from my past appeared in my dream. Past students, administrators, staff, and others. Places where I’ve been. My former house, an old school where I used to teach, streets where I’ve walked. So many memories.

I had an epiphany when I woke up. Life continues to live. Places where I’ve been will always be apart of my unique history. I’ll forever be in someone’s memory.

I encourage you to make your mark a good one in life. Refuse to allow circumstances to kill your vision or the goals you’ve set. Create some vivid moments that will forever be cherished memories.

God gave you this life. Live it, breathe it, cherish it, and share it with the greatest potential.

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

Worthless Talk

image

Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. (NLT) -2 Timothy 2:16

Foolish talk includes talking negatively about another person (gossip) and spreading false information about another person (slander).

image

Instead of worthless talk, set your mind on building up and being a light for others. Not only is this more rewarding, it also leads to a greater sense of inner peace. Are a large portion of the words coming from your mouth considered foolish talk?

Are You There

image

I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night – but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. (NLT) -Psalm 139:11-12

Are you searching for God but cannot tell if He is answering you? Remember, He is always waiting for you with grace and forgiveness. The question is: are you ready to open the door and invite Him into your life? If you’re not sure, try asking yourself if you wish your parents or siblings were saved by Him. If you wish the most meaningful people in your life were saved, it may be a hidden sign of your own faith in God. Don’t push Him away. He wants to fulfill your life with His purpose. Your destiny depends on it.

Faithful God

I entrust my spirit into your hand.  Rescue me Lord, for you are a faithful God. (NLT) -Psalm 31:5

Times get tough and life is not easy. Place your faith in God, look to Him for protection. Pray to Him and tell Him your worries. He is always there, faithfully waiting for you to come to Him. If you are having a hard time seeing God’s faithfulness, ask Him to open your eyes. Ask Him to show you all that He is doing in your life.

Surrender your agenda and ask God to reveal his plans to you. He reveals in various ways so keep your spiritual and physical eyes open.

The Richer

image

“But the richer the people get, the more pagan altars they build. The more beautiful their harvests, the more beautiful their sacred pillars.” (NLT) -Hosea 10:1

As we make more money, we tend to spend more money. We must remember that we are merely stewards of “our” riches, as they originated from God. Don’t let your riches steal your heart away from Him. If you find this happening, change your outlook on your income. Perhaps God didn’t give it to you to consume all of it, perhaps He gave it to you to share and bless others.

Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love! -Psalm 31:16

Smile on me. Shine on me. Beam through me with your rays of light. Refresh me. Encompass me. Touch me with your passion of love. Never leave me as you promised. Stay by my side. Hold my hand and be my guide. For you are my groom and I your bride. Saddle me. Prepare me for the journey ahead. I can’t make it without you.
