Plants and Seeds

A time of harvest. A time of blessings. No more strife. Please, stop stressing. Joy is here. The sun peers. Through the leaves of green. What a glorious scene. You thought this was the end. But joy cometh in the morning, my friend. Seed, time, and harvest. Water your crops. Let it penetrate your seed. There is no more drought. While others were drying and leaves were dying, you were planted by rivers of water. Now you rise toward the open skies. What a blessed time to be alive. You survived the storm. You overcame the chills. There have been deep valleys and hovering hills. But mighty are the works of His hands. Tenderly, carefully guiding you in His plan. Cultivating your mind and causing your stems to rise. Oh, what a blessed time to be alive.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. Psalms 23:2 NKJV

 Healed – Prayer Call Recap

Healing takes place in the mindset of a person.

This week I share the wonderful testimonies of healing that have taken place. Steve received his sight, Arshad & Ufah were healed, and Donna received healing from chronic back and knee pain. And there are so many more!

Here are some key points from the call:

  • God is so accessible to us!
  • He loves you passionately! John 3:16
  • God wants to use us in great and mighty ways!
  • God wants us to deliberately shine our light. Shine boldly in the midst of darkness. Matthew 5:14-16
  • Have great expectancy in your heart! Hebrews 11:1

07/26 – Prayer Call

Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland.

Isaiah 35:4‭-‬6 NLT

If healing is something that you have been desiring to receive, ask God for it. Everything we need is available to us; we must believe in faith. He is the God of the impossible! Have a faith-filled week!

The Little Things

Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder. What I find to be astonishing are often the things unnoticed. Take a look at some of my favorite little things.

This sunbrella has finally had it’s time to shine. With the recent heat and clear skys, she offers the perfect amount of shade. And she’s purple!
One day I decided to rock my floral socks in two colors! I felt fun and creative. Dare to be different!
Anyone who knows me knows that I like to eat good ice. Not just any ice, but the soft, crunchy kind. When I found out it was served at a local restaurant I could not pass up the opportunity! Yummy!

While commuting to King’s Dominion with my team, I couldn’t help but take pictures of the scenery. In this pic I captured the KD sign and myself as well! Such beauty all around us! I don’t think I could move fast enough!
Stars from the 60th anniversary celebration!
These flowers are from my grandparent’s 60th anniversary celebration. We honored them for their labor of love and sacrifices.
I spotted this little one while looking beneath my desk. The little lady was as still as ever. I admired her beauty.

Whether it’s a small feather from a bird or the cool breeze of late summer, learn to appreciate and enjoy the little things in your life.

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.”

Luke 16:10 NLT

 Make Room for Me

Hands Up Ocean

Start packing folks! It’s time to get ready for your next big move!

On this week’s prayer call, we’ve discussed availing ourselves to God and walking in expectation of what He has in store. God is preparing us for a mighty move. Get your bags ready!

Here are the following points discussed:

  • When you give God your portion, He will multiply it. He is the greatest Multiplier. Malachi 3:10
  • Set aside time for you and your Maker. Psalm 23:1

If you look for me with your whole heart, you will find Me. Jeremiah 29:13

  • Walk in faith preparing for the big move.
  • Challenge the challenge! James 1:2,3

If you’ve been experiencing challenges in your life, begin to rejoice! God is refining you and building your resilience. Your character is being built upon! Embrace the process.

“God can turn: fear into faith. Pain into potential. Rejection into destiny.” Steven Furtick

07/18 – Prayer Call

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house and try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10 NKJV

It’s About Me – Prayer Call Recap

What if I told you that life is about you? Would you believe me? What if I told you that you have purpose and a dynamic influence in the world?

On tonight’s call we focused on the following main topics:

  • All of life’s problems and situations have a root.
  • Your soul is hungry. Be mindful of what you feed it.
  • Affirm your identity and be confident in who God has called you to be.
  • It’s a “Me” thing. It’s about “You”.
  • Have a purpose-driven team to support you and help cultivate your ideas.
  • The common factor and common denominator

You have purpose and you have vision. The world is made up of so many people and yet no two people are exactly the same. God created you a masterpiece and sometimes we don’t realize how truly powerful we are. We must seek out our identity and use our influence to help others. It’s time to shift our perspectives.

07/11 – Prayer Call

Life’s purpose is knocking on your door but you must open it. We are each designed and wired differently but all created to give God glory (Isaiah 43:7). Instead of focusing on the barriers in your life, how about focusing on ways you can be a blessing. After all, it is about you. 🙂

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord , my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:12‭-‬14 NLT

You Are Enough – Prayer Call Recap

On tonight’s call, sparks flew! We discussed our identity and how we are born with purpose.

The Lord gave me this message: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4‭-‬5 NLT

Before Jeremiah was even thought of God had given him purpose. God already had a plan and duty for Jeremiah. This shows me that God has predestined us for great things! We are called to greatness. Our lives revolve around the work He’s called us to do. We must trust the process of His revealing and be patient in His timing. His plan is the best!

Here are some key points from the call:

  • God’s love knows no boundaries.
  • He knows us.
  • The answer you’ve been looking for is in you.
  • The more you seek God, the more you find your identity. Proverbs 3:5,6
  • He is our provider and protector. Everything we need is within our reach. Matthew 28:20

Hanging with Holy Host!

So as you may have seen on my social media, I’ve recently joined a group -Holy Host Ministries! It has been nothing short of amazing.
I had been praying and seeking God for my next move in life. I knew that I was preparing for something great but had no idea to what extent. I continued leading the prayer call,  going to outreach events, singing and songwriting.

I grew up in a musical household so singing was natural. But then I recall becoming fascinated with the structure of songs and playing the music keyboard. I’d tap at the keyboard playing 3rds from the C major and  A minor scales. I still can hear my first song I created! One of my passions has been to connect with people through music and to share the beauty of it.

Several months ago, God began sharing with me that I was going to join a local church in Baltimore. It was one that I had seen occasionally online but never attended. I noticed that a group I affiliate with would be having their next event at the church! I knew that that was my green light to go!

When I arrived, I stood in the back of the church before the event started as the people gathered to pray.  God spoke these words to me:

Why stay in the back when I’ve called you to be in the front?

I was given the opportunity to lead the discussion table at our event. The theme was Purpose. A handful of people joined me including the Holy Host team. What amazed me was everyone’s transparency and desire to grow in God. The connection flowed so naturally.

From there I started fellowshipping at CAB. I was invited to sing and play keyboard with Holy Host on some Sundays.

Then one morning as I woke up I heard God say for me to join Holy Host. Out of excitement, I immediately messaged Leviticus, the founder of the group. He informed me that he and Justin, another member, heard God tell them that. When I thought about how everything transpired, I realized that it was God’s hand orchestrating the whole time.

I have been given the opportunity to usher people into God’s presence and it has been thrilling. What I had prayed for, God surpassed with great measure. I rejoice in sharing a platform with others who are eager to make a difference. Our hearts are hungry for impacting the world.

Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them. Thomas Kinkade
