The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. -Psalms 37:23 NLT

Wow God. Where have I been? I was wrapped up in my plans and what I thought was gonna work for me. You were there. When I tried things my way without considering you. You were there. Waiting for the chance to be invited into the decision. Like a coach on the sideline. Like a teacher watching a distraught student who needs assistance. Like a therapist watching his patient have an episode of depression. All you wanted was an invitation. I can’t believe I use to DO without considering YOU.

After ending up in front of this Cedar tree after a long cycle pacing my solution You were there. You didn’t say a word. You had your arms opened just like the last time I can remember. Your smile is brighter than the sun and tears came rushing down my face as I ran into your arms. I felt warmth, the heat of your light radiating through me. Your love consumed me and erased my shame. You held my face in your hands. My tired, weary eyes gazed at my Protector. You turned my head another direction pointing to a path etched out in the forest. I knew You were telling me this was the way I was to go.

Refreshed, I starting walking down the path of righteousness. My guardian angels cheered me on as I continued.

Some people turned around on the path and walked pass me. Their faces were full of pain and their tears told a story of giving up. Their angels panted and waved frantically trying to persuade them to turn back around and continue on the path of righteousness. Some listened, some ignored in shame.

I won’t turn back around. I have scars from every time I tried to take shortcuts. I’ve been struck by Love and it’s infecting my body in the greatest way.

You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. – Proverbs 19:21 NLT
