This morning I woke up feeling terrible. Tired, gloomy, and irritated. I can’t believe this happened.
You see, a close friend of mine was in bad company last night. He was interrogated for being around others who made foolish choices. He is someone who doesn’t always keep good company.
Yesterday he got a wake up call and quite frankly his life of freedom could’ve been over.
I stayed up last night into the morning getting updates from others. I wish he stayed at his home last night.
It made me realize that must be how God feels to a certain extent. Sad, irritated, disappointed when we choose to go the wrong way. He must be ashamed when we, who have so much potential and qualities, place ourselves in sticky situations. Having to bail us out every time we mess up does not seem easy especially considering all 7.4 billion of us.
I encourage you as I encourage myself to stay in the arch of safety. There are consequences to our actions. Stay connected to God and places that ensure your protection. Not only physically but mentally and spiritually. He has the ability to cover and protect us but what happens when we remove ourselves from His place of protection?
The LORD will not reject His people;
He will never forsake
His inheritance.”
“For He will command
His angels to guard tou in all your ways -Psalm 91:11, 94:14
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. 4 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. -2 Samuel 22:3-4
