Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself

Hello. Welcome to Life to Your Soul! We’ve been here for 7 years, and I think it’s the perfect time to reintroduce the purpose of this space. Take a seat, grab a coffee, and join me on this ride.

Around 2010, I had been intently pursuing revelation from God through His word. Scriptures were a blur for far too long and I hungered for fresh revelation. As I began to pursue the Lord, through meditation and worship, I started receiving what I had prayed for. The words of the Bible seemed to jump off of the page and I was able to understand what God was saying through the passages I read!

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6 NKJV

I’d write down revelations and thoughts that came to me in excitement but eventually discovered that something was wrong. I used way too much paper! I’m not referring to a journal where everything is organized. I’d used single sheets of paper to write on. I’m talking about notebook paper, printing paper, napkins, and tissue paper! If a pen or pencil were nearby, I was going to find something to write on! Eventually, I ditched the paper trails and received journals for gifts from family, friends, and myself.

I’d write poetry, prayers, and how I felt about situations occurring in my life and around me. It became a refreshing release and to this day, I use my journals as an outlet. It feels good to have a collection of them to read through and reflect on.

Life to Your Soul was created in April of 2014 initially to give readers a glimpse into my life and to share revelations that came from reading the Bible. I wanted to host a space where people would be encouraged and experience hope while facing the trials of life. Over the years, LTYS has become all of those things and more!

Life to Your Soul has developed into a multifaceted ministry, focusing on spiritual edification, wellness, character building, and artistic expression. We have hosted empowering events in the DMV area, focusing on identity and purpose in Christ, in addition to adding life updates and devotional posts to this site. We’ve also equipped and encouraged others through corporate prayer. We’ve interviewed ministry leaders and sought to offer a safe space for those from many walks of life. With your help, we have helped reach the world! We have become the hands and feet of Jesus. It has been a dynamic journey and I’m glad that you, whether recently or formerly, have joined us for the ride.

This year, we are launching into the deep and reaching new heights! The Promise Ceremony Conference is being prepped to relaunch this fall, merchandise is coming soon, and YOU will have the opportunity to share your story on our platforms! It’s only going to get better from here.

It’s my desire to see people encounter Jesus and become more aware of their identity in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). Once we receive that awareness, we get to experience His freedom! We are free to live, free to thrive, free to create, and free to inspire. God has an abundant life for us (John 10:10) and we get to discover more of it each day.

The treasure is uncovered through revelation of God’s Spirit and His Word (John 6:63). You can live a good life through others means but why settle for good when you can thrive in purpose? The life that Jesus has intended for you to live since the beginning of time. This is only achieved when we accept Jesus as lord and savior of our lives and welcome His Spirit to guide us. Then we truly experience life to our souls.
